MSD Animal Health Partners with World Vets to Provide Critical Care to Animals Impacted by Global Pandemic

MSD Animal Health is pleased to announce that it has awarded $100,000 to World Vets to aid animals throughout the world that are suffering as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Madison, N.J., Dec. 3, 2020 – MSD Animal Health is pleased to announce that it has awarded $100,000 to World Vets to aid animals throughout the world that are suffering as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Through this grant, World Vets will provide urgent, life-saving care and veterinary resources to pet owners in 12 countries who cannot afford to care for their animals due to financial or other pandemic-related hardships.

“The ongoing pandemic has ramifications for everyone – including animals,” said Fernando Riaza, DVM, Vice President, Global Marketing, MSD Animal Health. “Animal wellbeing is at the heart of all that we do at MSD Animal Health, and this partnership with World Vets will ensure that the animals that direly need care during these challenging times are receiving it.”

Through the grant, World Vets will deliver critical veterinary services to animals in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Peru, Ecuador, Australia, Guatemala, Tanzania, Moldova, Nepal and the Dominican Republic.
